Viterbo Italy summer 2011

My last day painting on Italy trip...so hot, landscape was glorious!

First time blog...

Very excited to finally start my blog and share my work in progress. I am a junior/senior at Montserrat College of art, majoring in drawing and painting. Lately, I am working from live figure models in an advanced figure drawing class with Prof. Timothy Harney. He has helped me tremendously! I am also exploring abstraction with Thorpe Feidt...an exciting professor I am already learning so much from. He pushes you to paint quickly and instinctively with the emphasis on making work that is ALIVE. Here is some of my figure work from the last year and some new beginnings in abstraction from the last two weeks...they are all in progress. I will continually post the evolution of my self portrait series that started in 2008. Still figuring out how to space and crop my images....
